You don’t need to quit your day job—you can make money online from blogging in less than five hours per week, with the potential to earn a full-time income from it within a year or two if you focus your efforts.

Start now! Here’s how to make money online from blogging in 2022...

1. Choose a blogging platform

WordPress is my favorite platform because I like being able to make changes myself and not have to depend on anyone else to do what is right for me.

There are many things that can go wrong if you don't know what you're doing, but even then, you can fix them yourself. WordPress makes everything easy and simple.

Blogging platforms are like websites, but they’re designed for writers who want to share their content online.

They allow users to write their own posts and then share them through different social sites.

There are a lot of amazing blogs out there that people might not even know about yet! In this article, I am going to give you my top 5 reasons why WordPress is the best platform for bloggers.

a- It's free!

Yes, you can use WordPress without having to pay any monthly fees.

It has a simple interface, no coding skills needed, it works on almost all devices, and it offers tons of awesome plugin features that help make your blog stand out from others.

b- It's SEO optimized!

By default, WordPress comes with some pretty cool SEO tools that allow your site to rank higher on search engine results pages.

You don't have to do anything special or spend lots of money to get good SEO results.

c- It's easy to customize!

If you're looking to take advantage of the advanced customization options in WordPress, you won't find much better than this.

There are tons of themes and plugins to choose from, and if you need a custom solution for something, chances are great someone else has already done it before!

d- Your audience is ready for you! When you start building your website, there are dozens of things to think about.

One of them is how well your design looks on mobile phones. Because WordPress is built around responsive web design, it allows you to build your blog once, and then adjust it for multiple devices.

This means your readers don't have to download your entire page just to read a few lines, which saves bandwidth and speeds up your load time.

2. Start Your Own Blog

Blogging has become one of the best ways to make money online. If you can write well, then people are willing to pay you just to have your content appear on their website.

But not everyone knows how to start a blog, so there’s that problem. In this video, we share some tips about how to create a successful blog.

You need to know what you want to say, so keep reading.

3. Find a Niche & Write About What You Know Well

Once you find a topic you like, you should get down to writing. There are many topics out there, but you don’t want to pick something too broad.

Be sure to focus on something you love, otherwise, you won’t stick around!

Don’t worry if you don’t really know much about a particular niche yet, you can learn more about it later.

This isn’t just about picking a topic to blog about either. It’s finding a way to help others through what you know.

How can you use what you learn from blogging to benefit someone else? Don’t worry if this means sacrificing revenue at first. Just create content that helps others and the money comes.

4. Choose The Right Keywords

Choosing your keywords is important. You’ll want to make sure you have a clear understanding of what keyword phrases people are searching for and find related to your niche.

One way that you can do that is through Google AdWords, which allows you to see what search terms people are using through their advertising network.

If someone searches with one of those keywords, they’ll likely show up on your site organically, which will help drive traffic and increase search engine visibility—increasing your chances of making money online from blogging for years to come.

Here's how to choose the right keywords:

a. Understand what keyword research entails.

Your goal here is to develop a list of keywords related to your niche that are highly searched and relevant to your business.

You'll need to research the industry to identify terms people use when they're looking for products like yours.

Ask yourself questions about your customers' needs and then ask them directly. If you don't know where to start, check out our infographic below to understand how to do keyword research properly.

b. Set goals for each set of keywords.

Once you have a group of related keywords, determine whether you should be including variations of those words, common misspellings, synonyms, or root words.

There are many different tools online that will assist you in this task, but if you're not sure where to begin, consider these simple methods:

5. Generate organic traffic

Organic traffic, or free traffic from search engines and social media, is by far the best way to make money online

Organic traffic can come from a variety of sources. First, you should concentrate on generating high-quality content.

This means not only writing a lot of posts that are relevant to your industry and serving readers with valuable information but also making sure those posts include keywords and links that will be picked up by search engines like Google.

A great place to start is a keyword research tool like SEMrush.

6. Promote Your Blog Through Social Media

There are tons of different social media platforms that allow bloggers to promote their blogs.

Whether they are Facebook pages, Twitter accounts, Instagram accounts, Pinterest boards, or any other type of account, social media allows you to connect with others who might be interested in your content.

This leads to a higher chance of readers visiting your site, so be sure to use those channels wisely.

7.  Be Unique. You only have 1 chance to make your first impression. So be unique. Use the same ideas that work well for other people.

But don’t copy what they are doing. Create something that has never been done before.

8.  Focus On One Thing At A Time. When I started out my biggest mistake was trying to do too much all at once.

Trying to write posts every day, build relationships with bloggers, create videos, and promote products.

If I had focused on one thing at a time I would have succeeded much faster than going after too many things at once.

9.  Stay Focused On What You Want To Achieve. Too often we get caught up in things like how many followers we have or how many subscribers we have.

We forget that those numbers don't really matter. They aren’t our top priority. Our number one goal should be helping others find success and happiness online.

10.  Always Have An Audience In Mind. When I say always I mean 100%. Your audience doesn’t care whether you are making $50 or $500 per month.

All they want to hear is “I am having fun and learning from this experience.” If you do that then you will build a loyal audience that will keep coming back for more.

11. Set up Google AdSense to monetize your blog

Setting up AdSense for your content site is a simple, straightforward process and, once you do it correctly, will help bring in some revenue.

First off, make sure that AdSense is enabled for your website (check with Google Support if you’re unsure how to do that).

Then make sure that each page of your site has Google Analytics installed and activated (again, get support if you aren’t sure how to do that).

Once your pages are set up for AdSense ads, wait for them to appear. There may be some delay; don’t panic if it takes a few weeks.

a. Create a website account at www.google.com/adssense/create (if you don't have one already).

b. Click “Create an ad unit” at the top right corner of your AdSense dashboard, then click “Create an ad.” Select the type of ad you want to set up, based on your site type.

Then select the domain where you want to display the ads and enter any other relevant information that applies to your situation.

c. If you're using WordPress, make sure that your theme supports AdSense integration.

Once you've added your desired ad code to your blog, simply log into your AdSense admin panel and create a publication.

Add the URL of each page on your blog where you'd like to show your ads, and choose the appropriate campaign from the list.

d. Adsense automatically generates a number of different ad sizes depending upon which campaign you are running.

In addition to choosing the size of the ads you want to run, you'll need to specify whether you want text ads, image ads, video ads, or skyscraper ads. Image ads and skyscraper ads both offer better performance than text ads.

Also note that Adsense offers different ad widths, ranging from 640 pixels wide down to 160 pixels wide.

So, if you want to show smaller ads on narrower websites, you should consider selecting a smaller width.
